I was attempting to clean up and was going through a pile of Kyra's papers and found this cute little note.
OUR SWEET LILY
Over 3 years ago Lily Unicorn Flower came home with us from the animal shelter. And this week she went home to heaven. Although, her death was completely unexpected and COMPLETELY unnecessary, we will remember her being a very playful, happy and sweet dog. I will even over look the many shoes she used as chew toys! She truly was always happy to see us and would have jumped over a cliff if she thought it would have made us happy. I am not used to her not being here, I still feel her presence everywhere. It is never easy losing a pet.
I will miss her for years to come.
BIRTHDAY AT THE ZOO!
For my birthday Matt surprised me and stayed home from work and we visited the zoo! It was a beautiful day. We even had an outside picnic - in December! There was very few people and the animals were very active! It was a great day!

FIRST OFFICIAL SNOW!
Our first official SNOW! The kids were eager to get outside! However, our chickens were not! They would not leave their house until all the snow was melted!
ANNUAL CHRISTMAS TREE HUNT!
We joined the Johnson clan on the annual Christmas tree hunt the day after Thanksgiving. We visited a small family run Christmas tree farm and the kids had a blast! It is always a fun event and the kids look forward to it each year! We found the perfect tree & after much work (on Matt's part - he had to cut it down with a very dull saw!) we brought our tree home and the kids decorated it!
