We joined the Johnson clan on the annual Christmas tree hunt the day after Thanksgiving. We visited a small family run Christmas tree farm and the kids had a blast! It is always a fun event and the kids look forward to it each year! We found the perfect tree & after much work (on Matt's part - he had to cut it down with a very dull saw!) we brought our tree home and the kids decorated it!
A LITTLE EXPLORING
The kids and I crossed the field and did a little exploring at the waterway and old train tracks. We even picked up cobs of corn on our way back for the chickens!
Hunter the Explorer
Our house from the railroad path.
On top of the old bridge.
A view of the original bridge.
The water, surprisingly deep (I guess deeper than I expected!) Maybe 2 feet/
BASS PRO SHOP
We took the kids to Bass Pro Shop this last weekend. Hunter loves anything to do with fish, so this was an exciting trip for him. It was made even more exciting because Santa was there! Then we doubled the fun with a flat tire on the car!
Good family bonding!
FIRST SNoW!
Yes it is true! We had our first snowflakes today! -and it isn't even the middle of November!!!!! Although I prefer the snow over the gallons of water that have been falling from the sky!
Might be a looooong winter!
KYRA IS 6!!!!!
Seems like she was born yesterday, but in reality it has been 6 years! She had a Halloween party this last weekend. We are really blessed to have such great family and friends to help us celebrate! After the party she went to the school for skate night! Needless to say, it was a great day!
